Advertising may increase the appeal of a food group or brand as a whole, as well as for the targeted individual products. As such, if a brand is advertising a (likely less well-known) non-HFS (food high in fat, salt, sugar) version of an HFSS product , the extent to which this triggers associations with the HFSS variant is uncertain. This study will investigate the impact of non-HFSS advertising on food selection. This study is largely replacing the design used in Impact of alcohol-free beverage advertising on alcohol selection: An online Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT).
