About UK Research Grants
Public bodies and charities invest billions of pounds in research every year. The records are public, but they sit in different databases and are often written for specialists.
UK Research Grants is an independent public-interest project created and maintained byMagenti Methodologies.
UK Research Grants brings those records into one place and makes them easier to explore. It helps people see what is being funded, which organisations are involved, and how the work connects across subjects and places.
What you can explore
- Search the grantsby subject, question, funder, organisation, place or year.
- Browse the topicsacross health, science, engineering, society and the environment.
- Explore places and organisationsto see where funded research is connected across the UK.
- Move through the Semantic Mapto discover grants that use similar language and explore related ideas.
How the site was built
The site combines public information from UK Research and Innovation, the National Institute for Health and Care Research, medical and research charities, and European Commission programmes involving UK organisations.
Different records are brought into one consistent view, organised into 29 topics, and checked before publication. Some include a clearly labelled AI-generated plain-English summary alongside the original information.
