Building on an existing study by the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Science, we plan to use the CPRD database to explore the association between anaemia, vitamin D deficiency and raised HBA1C and poverty among CYP living in deprived areas of the UK. This work will help develop the use of targeted POCT to address iron defieicny anaemia, vitamin D deficiency and metabolic syndrome in this population, based on neighbourhood health work in Birmingham's Sparkbrook community
