Medical students at the University of Central Lancashire undertook a RaCES project to critically appraise a systematic review on the effectiveness of using air purifiers indoors and respirators outdoors to reduce the risk of developing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. The medical students will use the findings to inform Blackburn Council about the importance of addressing housing issues in order to improve health. Peer-revied publication will also facilitate their professional development.
