Strolll is a digital therapeutics start-up on a mission to redefine the everyday reality of mobility for people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) utilising pioneering wearable, augmented-reality (AR) glasses. PD causes disabling motor impairments, affecting gait and balance, severely limiting mobility and independence. Strolll is developing NavigAIt, an Artificial Intelligence (AI) application for existing AR glasses, providing on-demand intelligent cues to assist gait in people with PD to bypass the impaired neural pathways by engaging unaffected brain areas controlling attention-orientated or goal-directed movement. Strolll has generated significant interest from the world’s leading Parkinson’s charities, clinicians, researchers and commercial AR partners like Microsoft and Magic Leap. We now need EIC support to take the next step in our innovation from a clinical therapeutic tool to an everyday pair of AR glasses for AI-supported gait assistance anywhere, anytime.
