The Faculty of Science and Engineering at Queen Mary University of London (http://www.qmul.ac.uk/about/se/) typically awards 40 fully or half funded PhD students each year, a number of which are supported through our EPSRC Doctoral Training Partnership. All studentships are allocated to individual research projects in its academic Schools and Institutes and these cover a wide range of research disciplines including: astronomy, bioengineering, biological science, chemistry, computer science, electronic engineering, engineering, materials science, mathematics, psychology and physics. The closing date for applications is the 31st January (see http://www.qmul.ac.uk/postgraduate/research/index.html) and successful applicants can be expected to be invited for interview shortly after this date. QMUL has an innovative and thriving research community in which all our PhD students play an important part.
