DTA - University of Cambridge

The University of Cambridge is receiving EPSRC funding to train the next generation of doctoral researchers across engineering and physical sciences. This grant supports a Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP), which provides structured postgraduate education rather than funding a specific research project. The DTP model addresses a critical gap in the UK research pipeline: the need for skilled scientists and engineers who can tackle complex, interdisciplinary challenges. Without sustained investment in training, the country risks losing its competitive edge in fields that underpin everything from quantum computing to net-zero energy systems.
