Knowledge valorisation – turnKnowledge valorisation – turning research into societal, economic and policy value – remains fragmented across Europe, with many intermediaries (TTOs, incubators, science parks, clusters, citizen engagement organisations) under-recognised and unevenly skilled, especially in Widening countries.VALLEYS addresses this gap by establishing the European Network of Knowledge Valorisation Intermediaries, directly implementing ERA Action 7 and the Guiding Principles for Knowledge Valorisation. Our mission is to connect, empower and professionalise intermediaries so that they can act as catalysts of impact across academia, industry, society and policy. We will deliver:*A broad and inclusive network of at least 150 organisations from 25+ countries, with ≥30% from Widening regions, structured into five thematic working groups.*A digital Knowledge Valorisation Toolbox, including 20+ open resources and an AI assistant, adopted by 150+ organisations, updated twice yearly, with ≥80% user satisfaction.*Capacity building through +15 training modules, peer-learning workshops and 100 mentoring sessions, training 500+ participants *A mobility scheme supporting 10 staff exchanges across borders.*Cascade funding: 2 open calls (€500k FSTP) funding 25 projects, with ≥30% beneficiaries from Widening countries and ≥70% committing to sustain valorisation beyond funding.*Dissemination and sustainability: 2 major European conferences (300 participants), 5 policy briefs, 10,000+ website visits, and a long-term model embedding the network within IASP structures. The consortium brings together: ATRINEO (innovation management, AI toolbox), SPLORO (cascade funding expertise), St John’s Innovation Centre (training, mentoring, Cambridge incubation hub), 3OC (participatory design, citizen engagement), Ideas Forward (Venture Studio) and IASP (global science park network, sustainability anchor).
