"The European research and innovation (R&I) ecosystem faces challenges from a fragmented standardisation landscape, creating barriers for innovators, particularly Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). The project's mission is to shift the perception of standards from complex texts to user-friendly resources that drive innovation and market access. To bridge this critical gap, the StandardAIse project will develop the Standardisation Landscape Hub (SLH)—an AI-powered, open-access, interactive platform. The SLH will be powered by an innovative hybrid AI model integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) with the structured reasoning of Knowledge Graphs (KGs), creating a dynamic decision-support environment beyond simple search engines. A key human-centric feature is a ""human-in-the-loop"" validation mechanism, where experts validate AI insights for accuracy, practicality, and trust.Building upon the successful foundation of the STAND4EU project, StandardAIse aims for transformative impact. Key objectives include deploying a centralized hub for standards, enhancing the valorisation of R&I results by linking them to standards, performing semantic gap analysis to reduce redundancy, and fostering an inclusive stakeholder community. An innovative scoring system (the 's-Index') will be deployed to stimulate user engagement.Ultimately, StandardAIse will strengthen Europe's industrial competitiveness and strategic autonomy by accelerating innovation, reducing costs for researchers and SMEs, and creating a more transparent standardisation ecosystem. This directly supports major EU policy goals like the European Green Deal and the development of trustworthy AI."
