A neurodiverse young person’s progress after a therapy or support programme is currently measured with tools that were not designed for them. This project will build a standardised digital toolkit of outcome measures and an evaluation framework specifically for interventions aimed at neurodiverse young people and their families. The problem is that providers of complex, multi-component interventions—such as social skills groups, sensory support, or family coaching—have no robust, evidence-based way to report what works and for whom. Without consistent data, they struggle to prove their value to commissioners and funders, which threatens their long-term contracts and financial stability. If this succeeds, the toolkit will let organisations capture real-world impacts on participants’ wellbeing, independence, and family functioning. That evidence will help secure sustained funding, allowing services to continue and grow. For families, it means their child’s progress is measured in ways that reflect their actual experience, not a generic checklist. For the sector, it creates a common language to compare interventions and drive better commissioning decisions.
