Frontier is a UK-based fire-protection technology provider SME led by, Manmohan Singh (CEO/Engineer), Dr Malkit Singh Deogon( Technical Lead) Satinder Kaur (formulator), Dr Amerjit Sihra (scientist) Jasdeep Singh (scientist) and Dr Ari Philippides (consultant). The construction industry urgently needs an effective fire-resistant system for timber to increase safe, fast build speeds and deliver the 1.5M homes the UK needs within five years. The current lack of fire-resistant construction timber exacerbates safety risks, increases costs and contributes to 730K house fires and \>250 deaths annually. Finding a solution will increase construction industry safety standards and enable UK residents to find safe homes. To this end, Frontier is developing a fire-resistant thermal barrier timber-engineered board with increased loadbearing capabilities to enhance construction safety and sustainability in modern buildings. It will benefit diverse, low-income groups disproportionately affected by new-build safety risks that limit access to safe, affordable housing. Frontier will be the first to offer a flexible fire-resistant board that is light but suitable for fully loaded walls, flexible but with a hammer-hard finish, and boosts productivity by accelerating project build speed.
