BioCORE proposes a comprehensive and integrated solution to overcome key energy, sustainability, and operational challenges in processing lignocellulosic biomass residues from agricultural and rural sources in a circular process. The project focuses on developing and demonstrating an end-to-end biorefinery process chain that combines advanced energy efficient technological innovations, transition to full reliance on renewable energy, optimised water- and solvent-energy management, and cutting-edge digital control with AI tools to enable energy usage flexibility, efficiency, and integration with renewables production and use for a climate-neutral biobased production.
