This proposal aims to ensure that Least Developed Countries (LDCs) have a strong, informed voice in the development of indicators for the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) under the UAE-Belem work programme. The project will focus on delivering inclusive and equitable indicators that address crosscutting issues such as health, water, food security, and infrastructure, ensuring they reflect LDC realities and priorities while advancing health equity across adaptation efforts. Key activities include organizing virtual sessions to ensure LDC experts remain actively engaged and informed, establishing thematic working groups to support indicators development, and facilitating experts' participation in LDC strategy meetings to align technical inputs with negotiation priorities. These coordinated efforts will lead to the development of robust, evidence-based indicators that are actionable, equitable, and adaptation relevant. This project will directly contribute to the successful adoption of indicators by COP30, providing the technical input and coordination necessary to integrate LDC perspectives into the formal UNFCCC process.
