Many psychiatric and psychological treatments don’t work for everyone, and when they do, it’s often unclear why. In routine care, there’s a gap between symptom-level and brain-level understanding. As a result, patients are left navigating trial-and-error approaches with a clinician to find what works. Computational models can help close this gap. These models support mechanistic phenotyping, offering better ways to shape treatment plans, structure therapy sessions, and develop new treatments. But current methods are inconsistent across teams and lack a simple, user-friendly interface for clinicians, researchers, and service-users. Hypatia Health aims to change that. We’re building a scalable platform that gives scientific and clinical teams easy access to gold-standard computational models and matching gamified tasks. Researchers worldwide can simulate and predict human behaviour, while clinicians can use interactive games to generate computational phenotypes for service users. By making these tools accessible, we reduce wasted time and resources—and bring care closer to the causes of mental ill health.
