The GTFCC Country Support Platform (CSP) provides coordination for cholera control activities, with dedicated staff based in cholera-affected countries who engage with government counterparts and other national stakeholders to develop and implement National Cholera Plans (NCPs). The Research Uptake programme provides support to countries to utilise the best evidence for developing NCPs, identify research gaps and opportunities for cholera, and build the cholera research ecosystem at the country and global levels. The cholera research uptake programme has been funded by the Wellcome from 2023 – 2026 and a range of activities have been undertaken including: -mapping the research landscape at global and country levels -facilitating symposia and conferences to share evidence and learnings within and between countries -hosting a global research meeting to discuss key challenges with the cholera research and policy community and opportunities to improve the ecosystem. The CSP programme has been affected by recent funding challenges which directly impact the research uptake work. This costed extension proposes to support the Programme Operations function and one of the country managers (DRC), alongside relocating the Project Lead (Senior Research Officer) to Geneva. These mitigations will ensure the successful delivery of the planned activities for the remaining award.
