Liverpool City Region R&D; impact series

Aid Alliance proposes a Liverpool City Region R&D impact series, a programme of events connecting local MPs, the Metro Mayor and civic leaders with universities and employers driving health and life sciences research across the region. The aim is to show how R&D delivers visible local benefits: creating good jobs, attracting investment, and building civic pride in the region’s contribution to global progress. The series will be led by Lou Harbour, Aid Alliance’s North West Field Organiser, who combines hands-on experience in global health research with a deep understanding of the region’s political landscape. Her background at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine and service as the Labour Deputy Leader of Knowsley Council in Liverpool make her uniquely placed to convene partners across science, policy and civic life.
