Most cybersecurity tools flood users with alerts, but this project will build an AI system that not only detects threats in real time but also translates them into clear, actionable steps tailored to each user’s technical skill level. The problem is that current security software often overwhelms non-experts with jargon while failing to give IT professionals the precise data they need to respond quickly. This gap leaves organisations vulnerable to attacks that slip through because warnings are misunderstood or ignored. If successful, the system could change how businesses of all sizes handle cyber threats. Instead of a one-size-fits-all alert, a manager might receive a plain-English summary of a phishing attempt, while a network engineer gets the raw log data and a recommended fix. This would streamline incident response, reduce human error, and make robust cybersecurity accessible to organisations without dedicated security teams. The project is applied research with a clear commercial goal—to create a working prototype through a Knowledge Transfer Partnership between the University of Essex and Centerprise International. It does not explore fundamental questions about AI or cybersecurity, but directly addresses a practical bottleneck in how security tools communicate with their human operators.
