A company is building a machine that automatically reads, organises, and connects all of its internal knowledge—reports, emails, design files, meeting notes—so that engineers and managers can instantly find what they need without manual searching. Most large companies waste huge amounts of time and money because valuable knowledge is scattered across documents, databases, and people’s heads. A product designer might spend days hunting for a test result that a colleague in another department already wrote up. This project tackles that problem by combining generative AI, large language models, and human-AI collaboration to build an enterprise-level knowledge management and discovery platform. If it succeeds, the platform could dramatically accelerate product innovation and increase business productivity. Instead of reinventing solutions, teams would build on existing knowledge automatically surfaced by the system. The impact is not on everyday consumer life but on the internal machinery of manufacturing and R&D—the quiet systems that determine how quickly a better detergent, a more efficient battery, or a safer cosmetic reaches a shop shelf. This is applied commercial research with a clear practical target: making corporate knowledge instantly usable.
