DTP Bid Led by London Sch of Hygiene and Trop Medicine

The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine will lead a consortium to train the next generation of doctoral researchers in medical and public health sciences. This grant funds a Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP), which is a mechanism for organising and supporting PhD studentships across multiple research institutions. The problem it addresses is a structural one: ensuring a steady pipeline of highly skilled scientists who can tackle complex health challenges, from infectious diseases to global health systems. Without coordinated training programmes, the UK risks gaps in expertise and fragmented research capacity.
