A new notetaking app called DIVERSE will automatically transcribe, summarise, and integrate HR meetings in multiple languages, then file signed reports directly into company software. Current HR meeting notes are often incomplete, biased, or lost in translation when employees speak different languages. Manual transcription is slow and error-prone, and signed-off records rarely flow seamlessly into compliance systems. This project builds a tool that handles all three steps—transcription, translation, and software integration—in one go. If successful, DIVERSE could make HR meetings more inclusive for non-native speakers and reduce administrative overhead for HR teams. The system aims to ensure that every participant’s contribution is captured accurately, regardless of language, and that signed records automatically update compliance databases. This matters most for organisations with multilingual workforces, where miscommunication or missing documentation can lead to legal risk or unequal treatment. The project is a commercial partnership between Ulster University and Allsop Limited, funded through Innovate UK’s Knowledge Transfer Partnership scheme. It is applied research with a clear market goal: launch a product that improves transparency and record-keeping in HR processes.
